FAQ’s  Part 1 (Not in any particular order)

1.        What if I have/had Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Surgery, Accident, Trauma, Pregnant?

Answer: Well, the truth is that you need chiropractic attention even more so.  Now, your care may have to be altered to abide by our chiropractic oath which is “First Do No Harm”.

2.       Should I have my baby checked or should I recommend my 95-year-old grandma to you?

Answer: Appropriate chiropractic care is safe for all ages and is usually necessary for all ages for optimum lifestyle and wellbeing.

3.       What if I am in pain, experiencing a headache, or just hurt myself?

Answer:  Although this might seem like a logical question, but to us, it seems crazy to ask because that is what we do all day is help people when they may be at their worst.  Yes, always get in unless you are experiencing a medical emergency and then you should call 911.

4.       Is popping and cracking noise okay when I move my joints and what about getting adjusted, is that popping and cracking noise okay?

Answer: The popping and cracking with ranges of motion is usually due to aberrant movement from the joints wearing uneven from years of misalignments.

As far as whether adjustments with the popping and cracking you sometimes hear with your treatment, it does not ever cause any problems in of itself.  There are risks with anything, but chiropractic adjustments administered in an appropriate manor is a very low risk procedure and especially in comparison to many other procedures.  If manual adjustments are not appropriate for a patient or not desired, it is as simple as using a different technique to get the patient relief and well.

5.       Are X-rays or MRI necessary?

Answer: If a condition that warrants either before treating, it will be ordered.  If someone is not responding the way as expected, then X-rays or MRI may be ordered for further diagnostics.  I always say, X-rays or MRI’s never fix any problems, but a picture is worth a thousand words.  We like to be conservative by nature and use the history and hands-on examination, but when necessary, these diagnostics can be very helpful in understanding unique circumstances.
