Professional Endurance Athlete Colin O’Brady Breaks Another World Record,

Credits Chiropractic Care for Optimal Performance

SAN JOSE, California

On July 19, professional endurance athlete Colin O’Brady broke another world record: he conquered 50 peaks in 21days.  The previous world record was 41 days.

O’Brady credits chiropractic care for his body’s ability to meet the rigorous challenge of climbing the U.S. highest peaks. The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the value of chiropractic care and a sponsor of O’Brady’s 50 High Points Summer 2018 Challenge, asserts that O’Brady’s experience with chiropractic care exemplifies the improved balance, performance and overall wellness that athletes can achieve.O’Brady is a life long advocate and user of chiropractic, as well as nutritional supplements.

“Chiropractic care has been a central part of my wellness routine since I was a kid,” O’Brady said. “As a lifelong athlete, I have benefited from regular chiropractic care, first as a national ranked collegiate swimmer, then as a

professional triathlete and now as a world-record holding mountaineer.

Getting regular spinal adjustments for decades has been key to optimizing my performance and health.”

As part of the preparation for his 50 state high point challenge, O’Brady worked with integrative medical physicians and holistic health practitioners at the Standard Process Nutrition Innovation Center.“

There’s more to chiropractic care than just soothing aches and pains, explained Sherry McAllister, DC, executive vice president, F4CP. “Precise

joint alignment and specific therapeutic soft tissue mobilization allows extreme athletes like Colin to perform well.”

O’Brady has had his share of setbacks.  In 2008, while in Thailand, he

was severely burned in a fire, primarily damaging his legs and feet. Doctors warned him he might never be able to walk normally again. With the encouragement of his mother, Colin was determined to beat the odds. He set a seemingly impossible goal: to complete his first triathlon after recovery.

O’Brady won the Chicago Triathlon’s Amateur Division in 2009.  His world record achievements include an Explorers Grand Slam speed record and a

Seven Summits speed record.

Chiropractic care has always been a part of O’Brady’s health and wellness regimen. By strengthening his legs and feet, he ensures the health of his spine – which is critical to a person’s overall well-being.

The spine protects the nervous system, which controls and coordinates many

different functions of the body. Any disruption in nerve communication may result in abnormal function.  Doctor of Chiropractic (DCs) help restore normal nerve function and communication, thereby allowing the body to work normally and naturally.
